From great food to unbelievable shopping choices, Singapore truly is the Lion city. The former part of Malaysia is now a diverse and stable country to explore, conquer and live. What’s good about Singapore? Mother Nature must love the city because it has no earthquakes or storms.

The best place to start the day is to have breakfast in one of Singapore’s iconic spot, the Toa Payoh Hawker Center. There are so many hawker centers in Singapore, but I’m a big fan of Hawker Center in Toa Payoh. This is the perfect place to eat wide varieties of Chinese, Indian, Malay and Singaporean dishes. The best of it, it’s super cheap! The must try dish is the signature Singaporean Hainanese Chicken Rice and the Soup Tulang.

Singapore has two weather extremes, rain or shine. Where’s the best place to explore the Lion City early in the morning? Chinatown. Singapore’s subway is easy to navigate, just like in Hong Kong or other cities. It’s easy to go to Chinatown as long as you have the MRT guide which you can get at EZ Link customer service. Explore the place where you can find Chinese restaurants and unique items at souvenir shops.

Singapore is booming a cool place to visit if you love nature and art, especially the Garden by the Bay located just across the Marina Bay Sands Hotel. It’s the perfect place to chill out while strolling and checking out different kinds of flowers, plants and architectural towers which are fantastic to see during the sunset. Going there is easy, either taking their cheap cab or take the orange line to Marina Bay station. If you are wary of the sun, strolling inside the Marina Bay Shopping Mall is the best place to hide. Try the ice cream in a wafer or loaf sandwich near Merlion Park.

Makasuntra is the best place to eat for dinner. It’s a hawker center but with great views especially at night. It’s just in front of the Merlion and Marina Bay Sands view. The best food to order is the Cereal Prawns. You can get there by train from the Esplanade station.

Don’t be afraid to explore Singapore at night, either visit Clark Quay for alcoholic drinks or the famous Mustafa which has a  24/7 department store. If you want to party, head to W Hotel in Sentosa Island. It’s a good place filled with great people and gorgeous ambiance to chill out. If you want to shop, Orchard road has a lot to offer especially the Ion Orchard Mall.
